A closer look at the question,
the idea and the choices that followed.
A campaign storyDurex
Cricket had the screen. Durex wanted couples to make a little room for each other. D20 turned a national obsession into a playful invitation for two.
A campaign storyOkinawa
A new brand. A different technology. A very familiar way to get around. Okinawa’s campaign made the electric scooter feel like something you could already picture riding home.
A company storyAscenso Tyres
Giant OTR tyres. Factory floors. Serious machinery. One visual language that could carry Ascenso’s capability across an expo screen, a website and the story of its people.
A company storyDhruva Advisors
A tenth anniversary offered the occasion. The people supplied the story. A professional-services film built around the values an audience can feel.
A campaign storyEarth Rhythm
An in-house brand film celebrating beauty beyond colour, size, shape, gender and age.
An explainer storyHDFC
Digital banking is useful when life gets easier. The film put that human benefit ahead of a checklist of features.
A people storyICICI Lombard
The name above the door said insurance. The work inside offered a different story for technology talent. The people doing that work became the most credible way to tell it.
A campaign storyWestside
A makeover was news for the business. A journey through Bombay gave the audience an invitation to discover it.

"We couldn't have asked for a better partner than Prasad Wadke and Team Chaiwala Pictures for our corporate film. Right from the start, they deeply understood our brief, translating our vision into a tailored creative approach that felt perfectly aligned with our goals. From there, their conceptualization was spot-on; innovative, structured, and infused with storytelling that elevated our narrative. Visually, the film turned out breathtaking: dynamic cinematography, seamless edits, and a polished aesthetic that screamed professionalism. It genuinely added immense value to our brand’s corporate image at that pivotal time, positioning us as forward-thinking leaders in our industry. Prasad and the team didn't just deliver a video, they crafted a powerful asset that boosted our credibility and engagement. Highly recommend!"

Chaiwala Pictures, and the creative team behind it - Prasad, Neha and Dhruv - were acquainted with me first when we decided to do a corporate film to celebrate 10 years of our firm, that I was COO of, in 2024. In mainstream cinema, the actors need to read Directors but here the Director must get into the mind and soul of the client. When our project commenced, I wondered how precisely that would happen for the film to portray the inner dimensions of a group of completely unknown set of perfectionists! When the film was eventually screened on the celebration day in November 2024, it was clear how amazingly well Prasad and his team were able to sense those values in action, in a short production span of 3-4 months, through observation, dialogue and interactions. It brought forth the genius creativity of that team! Besides creativity, I was impressed by the ownership that the "Chaiwalas" took to brew the perfect tea flavour! Incredible creativity, ownership, timeliness and above all - PASSION! Kudos team Chaiwala!

A brief. A launch. A difficult thing to explain.
Or just the feeling that there's a better story.
Sirmaxo / A company story
Products, processes, infrastructure and technology. The task was to put a wide industrial story into an order a viewer could follow.

Sirmaxo Chemicals needed a corporate film that could introduce the organisation as a whole. The story had to bring together its product offering, philosophy, technology and infrastructure, while explaining what its products contributed to the industries it served. For stakeholders and potential customers, the value of the film depended on being able to follow that information clearly.
We chose a straightforward corporate narrative. The brief did not need an elaborate storytelling device to make it work; it needed the different parts of the business to form a coherent account. Keeping the structure conventional helped the audience move through the material without having to decode the treatment as well as the subject.
The visual approach followed the same principle. Clean images and an aesthetic suited to the chemical industry supported the information, giving the organisation a consistent presence across its corporate and industrial story. Products, capabilities and the larger brand philosophy could sit within the same film without competing for attention.
The film brought the corporate and industrial story into one introduction that stakeholders and prospective customers could follow, keeping the information as straightforward as the treatment.
When the business is complex, the communication should become clearer.
