GM Fabrics / A campaign story

The fabric stays quiet.
The pictures speak.

No narrator. No dialogue. Relationships gave a product range a place inside people’s lives.

GM Fabrics wanted to establish its product range through the life happening around it. The story had to be told visually, with no voiceover or jingle to explain the products or tell the audience what to feel.

Developed in-house, the treatment brought together everyday moments between a mother and daughter, a father and son, a grandfather and grandson, and a couple. Those relationships gave the film room to explore affection, romance, parenthood and heritage within one visual world.

The products remained at the forefront, but the scenes gave them a context beyond display. Fabrics could be seen as part of the spaces where these relationships unfolded, allowing the range to belong naturally to the story. The visual choices had to make both sides legible: what the brand offered and the character of the life surrounding it.

Without spoken explanation, the connection depended on the pictures themselves. The finished film used the people, their interactions and the presence of the product to create a visual account of the brand, letting the audience understand its place in a home through the moments that home holds.

The product did not need a voice. It needed a life around it.

The work, on screen.

A different brief.
The same curiosity.
