Kurl-on / A campaign story

An old jingle.
A new world.

A familiar sound carried years of memory. The film gave that sound new pictures, people and everyday moments.

For Kurlon, the creative opportunity was to show how much family life could happen around a mattress. The brand had asked us to turn an existing radio jingle into a television commercial. Our work was to reinterpret that song visually, keeping the roots of a sixty-year-old brand intact while making it feel thoroughly at home in contemporary India.

We found the story in the small occasions that bring a household together. The mattress moved beyond the bedroom and into different corners of the home, becoming part of family moments and celebrations. That widened the world around the product and gave the jingle a set of recognisable situations to live in.

Characters, expressions and activities were central to the treatment. They needed to reflect modern individuals and families while retaining the warmth associated with Kurlon. A more contemporary, polished look could then grow out of the brand’s existing character, rather than feel like a break from it.

This was a visual reinterpretation of material the brand already owned. The music provided continuity; the scenes gave it fresh meaning and a broader picture of what Kurlon could represent within a home.

The resulting film brought an established radio asset to television and social platforms with a treatment designed to stay useful beyond one campaign. It refreshed the brand’s screen presence while keeping its family-centred identity recognisable.

Give a familiar voice a new world to live in.
